at The Phoenix,
1)
The Ballroom
- is a large
converted
Victorian
Ballroom,
currently used
to house the
Disco on a
Friday and
Saturday night.
It holds 120
people for a sit
down meal or
demonstration
and up to 200
people for a
private party.
It is situated
on the second
floor of the
hotel and is
available to
hire for any
event except a
Friday or
Saturday
evening.

The Garden Suite
-
is a traditional
flint stone
walled bar in a
quieter area of
the Hotel. It
boasts its own
lawn area
accessed by
patio doors. It
is available to
hire for
conferences,
christenings,
weddings and
demonstrations
and is ideal for
functions
between 50 – 100
people and can
cater for 75 at
a seated meal.
This room is on
the ground floor
with the toilets
situated
upstairs,
however, the
main bar toilets
are easily
accessible.
3)
The Boardroom
- is the
smallest of the
available
function rooms.
It is a bright
pleasant room
with large
windows
overlooking
Chard Town
centre and is
situated on the
first floor of
the Hotel. Its
large centre
table and
flexible seating
makes it ideal
for board
meetings, AGM’s
or training
sessions for up
to 20 delegates.
As with all the
function rooms
this room is
available for
hire on a
full/part day
basis TV and
video facilities
are available
and bookings can
be made to
include
tea/coffee and
buffet lunches.
