Well known for its good homemade bar food the Phoenix has some thing for everybody. We serve food from 11am until 9.30pm every day. All meals are served in the spacious main bar. Whether it’s a sandwich or a 20oz “Big boy steak” you’re after we have something to suit your taste.

Especially popular are the “Belly buster” meals, large plates of food designed to fill you up, you can get a 10oz steak cooked to your liking for under £7!! Also we have “Deli sandwiches” These are American style triple decker sandwiches served with skinny fries…… try a BLT or sausage and cheese. We believe in the personal touch so our till system allows you to add “extra’s” to your meal or tell the bar staff that you don’t want something and it will not be put on your plate. Our motto is “Yes we can”. 

We also provide catering for buffets or sit down meals in one of our two function rooms as well as in the Chard Guildhall. Come in and see us and ask for a quote. Our food is homemade and our staff will always try and meet you needs. Xmas meals are always a favourite so whether  your party consists of 2 or 22 come and see us to arrange a booking.

Occasional games of skittles can be booked in our alley with basket meals if you are looking for some thing different to do with your staff or visitors.
